When your lost in a forest the first thing you wanna do is make a fire. You must find 1 strait stick, a peice of wood, and a stone sharp enough to drill a a hole not going through the whole peice of wood just a hole with a surface at the bottom. Now as soon as you drill the hole grab your stick and lay the tip on the hole a spin it while you push it downward and repeat the process until you see ember and smoke coming out. Then find some twigs and leaves to give it fuel
So the next step is you wanna look for a rock like Obsidian, Flint, Chert, Quartz, Basalt, Jasper, Agate, Novaculite, and Glass. after you choose one of these rocks you then have to look for a hard stone that seems so hard to crack. Then you wanna strike the hard stone on the stone you choosed then it will brake off a flake/chip. then you wanna keep hitting it until you shaped it round and make sure its edge is sharp enough to cut things
You should now have shaped your stones like these in the photo. Now these stones are then used as tools like Axes, Spears, Arrows, and Knifes for survival. This is an ancient crafts that people still use today. The oldest stone tools were discovered in East Africa (Lomekwi 3 in Kenya)Â and were dated 3.3,000,000 years ago.
Stone axe head
Butchering knife
Stone arrow or spear head
Stone flesher
You then use these stones as tools for cutting trees, hunting small game, butchering, and cleaning hides.
for shelter you wanna look for a cave, grass lands, and coastal areas because these places are good for camping for some reasons.
The cave - "why the cave though?" Why. Because caves have roofs and can be used for shelter not just that! It stops rain from going inside and in some caves there's even a water source! Some are fresh some are not but not just that you have plenty of room for storage but it really does also matter from its size. Some are small some are big.
Grass lands - now this is also a good idea but at the same time it cant. But lemme tell ya the reason why. You see when your in the grass lands its almost gonna be empty but you will find a small amount of trees and large plants. But why its important to stay there, is because you can see animals that walk around there that are good for hunting for example like deers, birds, goats, sheep, and bisons. Not just that its a great place to stay so you can see if there are any near predators that can eat you while you are doing some unlike in a forest so many trees blocking your only way to see.
Coastal areas - so why coastal areas? Well why the coastal areas is because it has water, fish, and even seaweed. There are chances fish can be washed up on the rocks and can get stuck there due to low tide. Not just that there are some speices of seaweed that are edible to eat like Nori, Dulse, Wakame, Sea lettuce, and sea grapes.
